About

Grace Lutheran Church, located at 409 W Main, Enterprise, OR 97828, is a member of the North American Lutheran Church (thenalc.org). We are a small, rural congregation centrally located in Wallowa County, surrounded by the Wallowa mountains, Eagle Cap Wilderness, and Hells Canyon Recreation area. We welcome all to join us in worship. Worship is at 9 a.m. on Sunday!

After many years without a pastor, in September 2020 we called a part-time pastor.  John B. King, Jr. was installed at a special service on November 15, 2020.  Please check our calendar for dates he will be presiding at our worship including Holy Communion, and giving us a Gospel message.  Welcome Pastor John!

What to expect at worship?  When we celebrate Holy Communion, we welcome all who profess Christ as their Lord and Savior to participate.  We believe that Christ died for our sins, and that He will come again. We believe we are saved by Grace alone.  We believe in the authority of the Holy Scriptures.  We follow a three year lectionary of Scripture readings–usually a lesson from the Old and New testaments, a Psalm, and a selection from one of the Gospels.  When the Pastor is not present, we worship without Communion and have a lay member preside and give a message on the Scripture readings.

Street view of Grace LutheranGrace Lutheran currently participates and provides mission support through several organizations. We serve our local community through Community Connections food bank, heating assistance, meals on wheels, senior meals, and provide clothing to foster children, and support to other local agencies. We support Nord Est Haiti Lutheran Mission serving an orphanage in Haiti and KICY radio in Nome, AK. We also support various mission and outreach programs of the NALC.

Our current mission projects are raising money for the heating assistance program through Community Connection and a canned food drive, also benefiting Community Connection. We provide back to school clothes for the foster children of the county. We  also plan help the local Tree of Giving and the Elks Christmas Food Basket program in November and December.
